He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Groves and Lela Groves; his son Roger Dale Groves Jr.; and his siblings, Lowell Groves, A. J. Groves and Mary Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, James Dale Groves of Benton, Missouri, DeLisa Groves of Malden, MO and Carla Mae Linebaugh (Harry G.) of Benton, Missouri; his brother Jimmy Groves; his grandchildren, Leah Springer (Jason), Alan McKnight and Jaden Groves; and his great grandchildren, Tara Springer, James Springer, Elijah McKnight and Samuel McKnight.
