She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Purl and Ida Mae Cates Purl; her husband Albert Goodin; her daughter Monica Burney; and her siblings, Charles Purl, Darryl Purl and Faye.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Calvin Parr of Florida and Carla Parr of East Prairie, Missouri; and her sisters, Minnie Ellison of Texas and Jean Hernandez of Texas. She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
