With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Wayne Zimmerman of Bernie, Missouri, who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Houston and Radie Marcelle Zimmerman; his spouse Shirley Faye Thurston; his sister Betty Jean Zimmerman; and his son Tony Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Zimmerman of Bernie, Missouri. and Tonya Pierce (Randy) of Bernie, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Shawn Lundy (Stephanie Walker), Tony Zimmerman (Natalie) of Bernie and Brittney Carlson (Adam) of Ellsinore, Missouri.; and his great grandchildren, SJ Lundy of Bernie, Drake Zimmerman of Bernie and Cooper Zimmerman of Bernie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Bernie (113 W Crumb Ave, Bernie, MO 63822). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bernie Cemetery (302 W Main Ave, Bernie, MO 63822).
