He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Louise and Emma Louise (Mekan); and his wife Shirley Vanscyoc Fortner. He is survived by: his brothers, Clarence, Charles and Kenneth; and his children, Jerry, Janet and Charles. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
