He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bedwell and Mary Bostic Bedwell; his sisters, Georgia, Glenda, Virginia and Bertha Bedwell; and his grandson Skylar McDonald.

He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Bedwell (Dustin) and Gregory Bedwell of Ripley Tennessee; his stepchildren, Zachary Matney (Ashley) of Bell City, Missouri, Michiala Jenkins (Jacob) of Charleston and Brydon Maddox of Bernie; and his grandchildren, Allison, Braylen, Destiny, Camren McDonald, Forrest Matney, Mason Matney, Aubree and Jackson Livingston.
