He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Coleman and Billie Faye Coleman; his siblings, Leon, Bennie, Jane Mock and Sue Darbyshire; his brother-in-law John Darbyshire; and his daughter-in-law Chris Coleman.

He is survived by: his wife Diane McDowell; his children, Lesley Smid (David) and Kendall Coleman (Jeanine); his granddaughters, Erin Mack (Chris) of Ames, IA and Emily Dunn (Derek) of Carlisle, IA; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Elise Mack, Walker, Graham and Dallas Dunn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (4207 Miller St, Bethany, MO 64424). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
