She was predeceased by: her children, Kay Whitsell and Lonnie Smith; her siblings, Wallace Holmes and Lorene Kerns; her grandson Ryan Griffin; her parents, Victor Holmes and Velma Holmes (Williams); and her in-laws, Mildred and Marion Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Smith; her daughter Julie Hummer (Mike) of Clarksdale, MO; her children-in-law, Melanie Smith and Bruce Whitsell; her children, Rance Smith (Bernadette), Mike Smith (Lisa) and Robin Carpenter (Lewis); and her granddaughters, Christa O'Dower Hummer, Kherri Dean Hummer, Bethany Drier, Cammy Cook, Ashley Gibbs, Jayme Warren, Angela Griffin, Sarah Smith and Jessica Fushino.
