He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Pope and Ethel Pope (Brown); his siblings, Arthur Pope (Madeleine), Patricia Reddick (Jess) and Carolyn Caudle (J. C.); and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Pope.
He is survived by: his wife Viva Jean Pope (Eakin); his children, Kimberly Fitts (Allen) of Dexter, Martin Pope (Carla) of Cape Girardeau and Kenneth; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Littleton (Austin) of Sikeston, Abigail Pope (Kobe Franklin) of Jackson, Jordan Fitts of Dexter, Daniel Fitts (Maddison Carlton) of Dexter and Adam Pope (Allison Hancock) of St. Louis; and his great grandchildren, Lakynn Fitts, Andrew Littleton, Aftyn Fitts, Ellie Fitts and Baylor Franklin.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel (114 N Railroad St, Oran, MO 63771). A celebration of life was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery (17357 Stars and Stripes Way, Bloomfield, MO 63825).
