He was predeceased by : his parents, Orville McClain and Gertie May McClain (Harrell); his wife Kathryn Graves; and his siblings, Rudolph, Mayo, Charles, Jiggs, Jack McClain, Ruth Moore, Terza Cope and Violet Volmer.

He is survived by : his daughters, Cindy Hayes (Gary) of Bloomfield, Missouri and Kathryn Jane Nickall (Steve) of Lexington, Missouri; and his brother Ray McClain of Bloomfield, Missouri. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
