He is survived by: his wife Carol Holst; his daughter Dena Ann Holst-McCullough (Macky, family: Danielle Carmesin, Rachelle Hicks, Janelle Jones); his great grandchildren, Cole Carmesin, Carly Carmesin, Bowdy Hicks, Carson Hicks, Connor Jones, Lucas Jones and Cooper Jones; his daughter Kristie Lea Holst-Blackman (Eric, family: Reece Kruse, Lea Spitler); his great grandchildren, Nixon Kruse and Jules Kruse; his stepdaughters, Nan Burkeen (Jody, family: Evee Burkeen, Gabe Burkeen, Addy Burkeen, Paul Burkeen) and Shannon Simon (Bryan, family: Willow Simon, Ava Simon); and his pet Rosco.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Concord Cemetery - Bloomsdale.
