He is survived by: his wife Anne Banister; his children, Vicki Nelson (Rodney) of Minnesota, Janie Van Houden (Charlie) of Kansas and Richard Banister (Gloria) of Kansas; and his grandchildren, Derek Nelson (Lynn), Meghan Glotfelty (John), Chip Van Houden (Skye), Ange Marichal (Daniel), Mandi Alonzo (Dave), Chad Van Houden (Kari), Andy Banister (Lorna) and Casi Nelson (Nick). He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
