She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Smith and Addie Smith (Martin); her husband Charles F. Madewell Sr.; her son Charles F. "Frank" Madewell Jr.; her siblings, Elmer Smith (Arvilla), Zelmer Smith, Darrell Smith, Buster Smith (Donna Sue) and Lunie Smith; and her sister-in-law Linda Smith.

She is survived by: her grandsons, Franklin Alexander "Alex" Madewell (Montana) of Lee's Summit, MO and Joshua Wade Madewell of Columbia, MO; her great grandchild Brooklyn Madewell; her brothers, Luell Smith of Deer, AR and Robert Smith (Connie) of Mt. Judea, AR; and her sisters-in-law, Rilda Smith of Western Grove, AR and Ellen Smith of Deer, AR..
