He was predeceased by: his parents, John Signer and Virginia Signer (Sens); his brother Jack; and his former wife Margot. He is survived by: his wife Helen (Nicoletti); his children, Anna Poindexter, Timothy Signer and Mary Signer; and his stepsons, Timothy Vincent and Anthony Vincent. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church (3108 U. S. Hwy 40, Blue Springs, MO 64015). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Longview Cemetery (12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149).
In lieu of flowers, Jim had requested contributions to the Alzheimer's Association with online gifts in memory of James Signer at http://www.alz.org or to Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church.
