He was predeceased by: his parents, Bayless DeMoss and Maxine DeMoss (Laird); his former wife Linda DeMoss; and his sister Tricia Dilbeck. He is survived by: his wife Tommye Taylor-DeMoss of Blue Springs, MO; his children, Gary DeMoss (Gabby) of Bates City, MO, Doug DeMoss (Jean) of Independence, MO and Deanna Morris (Brian) of Youngstown, FL; his stepchildren, Steve Taylor (Michelle) of Liberty, MO, John Taylor of Independence, MO and Crissy Blackwell (Mike) of Blue Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Heather Cosper, T. J. Cosper, Gregory DeMoss, Jason DeMoss and Timothy Culbertson; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Summer Irvin, Sean Blackwell, Trevor Blackwell and Camryn Blackwell; and his great grandchild Charlotte Blackwell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meyers Funeral Chapel (1600 W Main St, Blue Springs, MO 64015). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
