She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Groh and Hazel Groh (Sears); her husband Don M. Rice; her children, Don Jr. and Beth; and her sister Ruby Lee Myers.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Geyer; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Matthew, Caleb and Rachel; and her great grandchildren, Arya and Leah.
Memorial donations in honor of Joyce Jean Rice may be made to the Dr. Don M. Rice Scholarship in Special Education at University of Central Missouri.
