It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Patterson Phillips of Blue Springs, Missouri, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bell Phillips and Alma Rueter Phillips; his wife Charlotte; and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his brother Ted; his children, Tammy Bopp (Kyle) of Jefferson City, Mike Phillips (Holly) of Odessa and Stephen Phillips (Zoe) of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Savannah (Alec), Alivia (Tanner), Lydia, Ethan and Lauren; and his stepgrandchildren, Zavia and Zohn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bittiker Funeral Home (1201 US-65, Carrollton, MO 64633). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Phillips Family Scholarship at the University of Central Missouri Foundation, which may be left at the funeral home.
