It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan (Bolivar) Simmons (Bolivar, Missouri), who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Barham and Fleete Barham. She is survived by: her brothers, Max and Rex; her son Jeff; her close friend Carrol McCracken; her spouse Charlie Simmons; her children, Janell Meador, Jodie Young (Tim) and Jill Pierce (Kevin); her grandchildren, Meleah Black (Justin), Jesse Thompson, Molly Carr (Alex), Vince Meador (Harley), Dylan Young (Sarah), Clayton Young (Julia), Caleb Young, Madison Huddleston (Parker), Sara Lipsey (Keith) and Johnny Scott (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Coraline, Isaiah Black, Payton Nutter, Wilder Carr, George, Josie, Jett Meador, Bryson, Eliza Young, Emory Young, Wrenly, Hallie Huddleston, Della and Mabel Lipsey; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Cameron, Garrett, Rachel Carr and Joan.
