He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bannister and Dora Marie Thomure (Eaton); his wife Velma Jeanette Bannister (Turley); and his siblings, Lucy Forshee, Roy Bannister, Golda Clark, Christine Hardy, Bessie Sheppard, Earl Bannister, Erma Cook, Etta Holloway, Bobby Arndt and Dean Bannister.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Scoggin (Marc) and Alan Bannister; his grandchildren, Addie Scoggin, Denton Scoggin (Samantha) and Alaina Bannister; and his close friend Linda Kearns. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
