He was predeceased by: his parents, Orin "Frank" Forbes and Beulah Olive Forbes (Boyer); his daughter Ellen Poor; and his brothers, Orin Zeno Forbes and Frank Boyer Forbes (Janet).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Forbes (Marler); his sons, John "Mark" Forbes (Dawn) and Robert "Rob" Michael Forbes (Diana); his son-in-law David Poor; his grandchildren, Jessica Poor, Justus John Forbes (Emma), Dillon Forbes, Evan Forbes and Hanna Jo Stallard (Colton); his great grandchildren, Ian Martiniz and Arthur "Archie" Forbes; his sister Lucy Purdy (Kevin); and his sister-in-law Judy Forbes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bonne Terre Chapel (313 Benham St, Bonne Terre, MO 63628). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Germania Cemetery (7424 House Rd, Bonne Terre, MO 63628).
