He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Compton; and his mother-in-law Melba McGee (Rasnic). He is survived by: his wife Karen S. McGee Compton; his son Michael Scott Compton (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Compton; and his father-in-law Orville "Corky" McGee.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
