He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil A. Whitwell and Veral Whitwell (Chandler); his wife Patricia Whitwell (O'Brien); his grandchildren, Thomas and Timothy Niccum; his brother John Stallings; and his stepfather Clete Stallings.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Ramsey (Rickie), Cheryl Mitchell (Dan), Betty Niccum (Jody), Michael Whitwell (Alicia) and Matthew Whitwell (Kristin); his grandchildren, Deanna Hite, Paul Ramsey (Makayla), Daniel Mitchell (Bree), Josh Mitchell, Dawn Rankins (Bryan), Savannah Ivie, Alaena Tyler (Justin), Katelyn Niccum, Chelsea Vandergraph (Jeremiah), Jacob, Logan, Mackenzie Whitwell, Amanda, Ryan, Warren and Amelia Whitwell; and his siblings, Raymond Whitwell (Liz) and Jean Hawkins (Raymond). He is also survived by twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Desloge Chapel (1116 N Desloge Dr, Desloge, MO 63601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Bonne Terre Cemetery.
