James Brandt Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Brandt (Bonnots Mill, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Brandt and Marie Brandt (Kremer); his stepson Richard "Rick" Veltrop, Jr.; his stepgrandson Coty Veltrop; and his brothers, Clifford, Leo, Edward and Donald Brandt.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Veltrop (Hoffman); his daughters, Melissa Dudenhoeffer (Norbert) of Jefferson City and Tina Bischoff of Taos; his stepson Jeff Veltrop (Tabitha) of Jefferson City; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Brandt of Hillsboro. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church (1665 Hwy C, Bonnots Mill, MO 65016). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery.
