He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Frances Uplinger (Fields) and Woodrow Uplinger; his former wife Margaret Uplinger; his stepdaughter Frances "Frankie" Spangler; and his son-in-law Robert Eveler.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes Uplinger (Backes); and his stepchildren, Margaret McAbee (Jerry), Mildred Ray, Susan Noel, Chris Boeckmann (Denise), Debbie Eveler, Bryan Boeckmann (Julie) and Kurt Boeckmann (Molly). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to I.C. School Foundation in Loose Creek, Missouri.
