He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Stokes and Marie Stokes (Bode); his sisters, Barbara Ann Schmitz and Shirley Vanderfeltz; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Trippensee, Agnes Kever, Robert Vanderfeltz, Ronald Trippensee, Leonard Muenks, Edward Eiken and Kenneth Schmitz.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Paula Kaiser (Kevin) of Colorado, Sandra Uhlmann (Scott) of Jefferson City, MO, Angela Glenn (Patrick) of Olathe, KS and Daniel Stokes of Columbia, MO; his siblings, Mary Eiken, Margaret Muenks and Michael Stokes (Susan); and his grandchildren, Kent, Ashley Uhlmann, Ryan, Sara Glenn, Zeke, Cecilia and Xavier Stokes.
