She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Pethan and Nellie Pethan (Sinclair); her husband Charles Schler; her stepfather Henry Hein; her sister Alvena Borgmann; her brother-in-law Richard Borgmann; her sons-in-law, Robert "Bob" Simmons and Kent Kammerich; and her stepgrandson Andrew Helmreich.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Schler (Lynndora), Mike Schler (Peggy), Linda Helmreich (Donnie), Terry Schler (Linda) and Donna Kammerich; and her grandchildren, Jamie Swalwell (Shawn), Cindy Vogel (Jason), Mindy Becker (Martin), Kevin Simmons (Heather), Derek Schler (Stephany), Lisa Alvis (Cedric), Cayley Inskeep (Andrew), Kendall Schler, Noel Schler (Zach Bradley), Megan Kosnopfal (Christian) and Lauren Helmreich. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. John's United Church of Christ Billingsville and the cemetery fund.
