Leona left this world on May 17, 2026 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Langlotz and Pearlie Langlotz (Johnmeyer); her brothers, Owen, Virgil and Robert Langlotz; and her son Darrell Schmidt.

She is survived by: her significant other Bobby Schmidt; her children, Michael Schmidt (Brenda), Russell Schmidt (Christine) and Carol Goins (Michael) of Chuluota, Florida; her sister Gladys Finley of Deland, Florida; her grandchildren, Cory Schmidt (Erica), Leah Lenz (Jeremy) and Kayla Monaghan (DJ); and her great grandchildren, Kimberly, Emily, Brooke, Brea, Easton, Adelaide, Lincoln, Maddox and Porter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
