He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Friedrich and Frieda Friedrich (Schwitzky); his former wife Louise Friedrich; his siblings, Arthur Friedrich Jr. and Carol Smith; and his grandson Joshua Friedrich.
He is survived by: his sons, James, John (Stacie) and Tony Friedrich (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Suzanne Pearson (Aric), Alison Braddy (Zach), Christine Corbin (Jacob), Daniel Friedrich (Melissa) and Esther Friedrich; and his great grandchildren, William, Samuel, Theodore, Charles Braddy, Lucas, Benjamin, Maisie Friedrich and Adrienne Pearson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
