He is survived by: his wife Loretta Slater; his son Gary Slater (Danica) of San Diego, California; his grandchildren, Harper, Hadley and Emma; and his siblings, Richard Slater (Peggy) of California and Brenda Reber (Kenny) of Ottumwa, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and his many friends.
