He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Forney and Mary Helen Forney (Springstube); his half-sisters, Georgia Sue Pursley and Janet Thacker; and his pets, Ilsa, Rick and Petey.

He is survived by: his wife Liz; his children, Adam and Amy Myers (Joel); his grandchildren, Cooper, Cannon and Georgia; and his nephews, Jeffrey and Jon Thacker. He is also survived by other extended family and countless friends.

We played Army to snow sledding and everything in between until two minutes after the streetlights came on. We reconnected several years ago by exchanging birthday wishes.
