He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Smith and Mabel Smith (Bruning). He is survived by: his wife Joanne Smith; his sons, Jeffrey Brent Smith (Marie) of Redcliff, Charles Albert John Smith of Hollister and Donald Vaughan Smith (Jennifer) of Saginaw, Minnesota; and his sister Ann Mead (Phil) of Shelburne, Vermont. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
