She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Pearl Smith (Morris); her siblings, Dr. Curt Smith and Sylvia Maurice Garrett; and her son Gary Robert Garrett.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Joan of Costa Rica; her son Blake Andrew Garrett of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her nephews, Barth Smith (Kathy) of Olathe, Kansas and Blake Smith (Kathleen) of Rio Verde, Arizona..
