She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Granzow and Louise Granzow; her husband Elroy Nelson of Oakland; and her siblings, Barbara Short, David and Dennis Granzow.

She is survived by: her children, Stacey Troutman (Brian) of Stromsburg and Eric Nelson (Leeanda) of Clearwater, Florida; her grandchildren, Keith Troutman of Seward, Sarah Engler (Carl) of Silver Creek, Ben Troutman of Seward Nebraska, Erin Busboom (Loren) of Hastings, Kara Luker (Whitt) of Birmingham and Piper Seiter (Matthew) of Bonanza, Arkansas; and her siblings-in-law, Polly Granzow, Susan Granzow of Eldora, Iowa and Jerry Short of Branson, Missouri. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
