With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Rast Jr. (Branson, Missouri), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on January 18, 2026 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, Dave Rast, Sr. and Marilyn Silverstein (Ambrose); his sons, David Rast, III and Michael Rast; his stepmother Pamela Rast; his close friend Kathryn Rast; and his stepchildren, Brian Callos, Derek Williams and Natalie Barr. He is also survived by two grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Alzheimer's Association.
