He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin and Mamie Baker (Kyle); his brothers, Ed and Jerry; and also, Eldridge, Margaret Carr and Judith Allison.

He is survived by: his wife Betts Carr; his children, Doug Baker (Tisha) of Branson, MO, Dale Baker of Durham, NC, Donna Schisler of Branson, MO, Bryan Baker of Grand Forks, ND and Linda Baker of Denver, CO.; his siblings, Bill of Colorado, Doris Wilson of Springfield, MO. and Barbara Jenkins (Dorell) of Spokane, MO.; his siblings-in-law, MaryMae Baker of Pittsburg, PA, Ruth Baker of Forsyth, MO, E. A. Carr (Janice) of Independence, OH and Mike Carr (Cathy) of Springfield, MO; and his grandchildren, Derrek Baker (Crystal) of Springfield, MO, Finley Baker of Springfield, MO, Cassidy Baker of Branson, MO, Isaac Baker of Durham, NC, Sophia Baker of Nashville, TN, Tilly Schisler and Desiree Schisler of Branson, MO.. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to The Don Baker Nursing Scholarship at College of the Ozarks—P.O. Box 12, Point Lookout, MO 65726—or the First Presbyterian Church at 420 W. Main St. Branson, MO 65616.
