He was predeceased by : his parents, Isaac Caringer and Bethel Caringer (Belew); his siblings, Hallie Colgin, Kenneth (KC), Gladstone (Red), Alvie, Lynnwood and Glendon Caringer; and his former life partner Ann Hayes Caringer.

He is survived by : his wife Sue Mills Caringer of Branson, MO; his children, Kevin Caringer (Sheri) of Kissimmee, FL, Kimberly Chevalier (JT) of Gardnerville, NV, Kristin Caringer of Los Angeles, CA, Katy Jo Caringer of Gardnerville, NV and Michelle Bredemeier (Matt) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Aly Caringer of Chicago, IL, Ashton Caringer of Conway, AR and Lily Bredemeier of Grand Forks, ND; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Caringer and Everett Caringer. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Tunnel of Towers or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
