He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Mack and Ola Dean Rusk (McFarland); his son Christopher Dean Rusk; his siblings, Tony Rusk and Joanna Allen; and his spouse Elberta Lee Dobbs.
He is survived by: his son Shawn Ray Rusk (Sheri) of Brashear; his granddaughter Melissa "Missy" Rusk of Kirksville; his brothers, Gale Rusk (Rose) of Brashear and David Rusk of Kirksville; and his nieces, Linsey Zuccarini (Chuck) of Brashear and Rashanea Rusk (Ryan) of Brashear.
