He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Whitener and Dorothy Whitener; his brother Gary Whitener (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Garrett Mann and Carson Mann.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra F. Whitener; his children, Rodney Whitener (Kathy) and Andrea Whitener; his sister Susan Settle (Doug); his grandchildren, Travis Whitener, Kayla Thompson (Chris), Joey Pierce (Terry), Katalina Paucak (Drake) and Valentino Paucak; and his great grandchildren, Addyson Reed, Paislee Thompson and Demi Pierce.
