He was predeceased by: his brothers-in-law, Michael Bornstein and Alex Bornstein; his parents, Marion Berkowitz and Melvin Berkowitz; and his parents-in-law, Dena and Ely Bornstein.
He is survived by: his wife Mindy Bornstein Berkowitz; his children, Ben Avi and Elior Berkowitz (Coco Liao); his siblings, Rick Berkowitz (Lynda) and Maxine Gauthier; and his nieces and nephews, Marion Bornstein (Michael Ballon), Andrew Bornstein (Megan), Emily, Eliza, Shira, Laura, Adam and Michael. He is also survived by met the love of his life, and marriage and children.
