In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Windfred Allen had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Windfred Allen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Vernon DeMott and Alice Rosemond DeMott (Jackman); and his sister Cleta Fern Stump. He is survived by: his children, Allen DeMott, Sheryl Crawley and Shelly DeMott; his friend Carol Claflin (Griffiths) of Bronaugh; and his brothers, Delton DeMott and Roger DeMott.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carriage House (301 S Main St, Fort Scott, KS 66701). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main, Ft. Scott, KS 66701.
