He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Marie King and Groetecke; his wife Dorothy Joann Gaston; his grandson Justin Tarpening; and his son-in-law Dale Bloss.
He is survived by: his children, Erlinda Bloss of Brookfield, MO, Brenda Asher (Donnie), Dana Tarpening (Robin), Rob King (Connie), Karen Tarpenning (Mark), Lori Elliott (Jeff) and Kelly King (Yulia); his brother G. L. King (Nola); and his sister-in-law Sherry King of Marceline, MO. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
