Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Tyler Jordan McCurley of Brookfield, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 28, on October 28, 2025. Though Tyler may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Tyler touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parent Kelly Jean McCurley (Miller) of Saint Joseph, MO; his children, Hayden Lee McCurley of Brookfield, MO, Lyla Mae McCurley of Brookfield, MO and Vaeda Gabrielle McCurley of Brookfield, MO; his father Christopher McCurley (Jacine) of Chillicothe, MO; and his siblings, Cale McCurley (Cheyanne) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Nancy Marshall (Jesse) of Chillicothe, MO, Derrick McCurley (Amber) of Higbee, MO and Ethan Plunkett (Aubree) of Vandalia, MO. He is also survived by grandma, "Skeeter"; and several other relatives.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Higginsville Missouri State Veterans Cemetery (20109 Business Hwy 13, Higginsville, MO 64037).
