He is survived by: his wife Vera Gayle Lackey; his children, Donald Dwayne (Pam Gaunt) of Nixa, MO, Lezley (Rick Chastain) of Pleasant Hope, MO and David Allen (Amy Gaunt) of Strafford, MO; his sister Christine Marie Hug of Kansas; his grandchildren, Zachary, Regan, Courtney, Chris, Tyler, Ashley, Blake, Claire, Ashleigh, Robert, Joe, Jackie, Elizabeth, Quintez, Abigail, Jessica (Troy), Cameron and Shelby; his great grandchildren, Fiona, Mackenzie, Colter, Saylor, Isla, Emmerson, Felix, Cam, Zeek of Avi, Mi, Evelyn of Maya, R. J., Riley, Azalea, Emily (Colton), Judith, Makenzie and Dorian; and his great great grandchildren, Liam and Mikayla. He is also survived by other family members and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home - Buffalo (931 W Main St, Buffalo, MO 65622). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
