He was predeceased by: his parents, Eurman "Tom" Smith and Nellie Lucinda Smith (Sloan); his wife Linda Lee Smith (Teson); his grandsons, Derek and Jeremiah; and his siblings, Larry, Keith, Dale, Jimmy, Sharon, Darlene and Melody.
He is survived by: his children, Gary "Dean" Smith Jr., David Smith (Jill), Dawn Nye (Dan), Stephan "Doug" Smith (Norma), Angela Smith, Brian Smith (Tina) and Jennifer Smith (Nick); his grandchildren, Jeffery, Jordan, Joseph, David, Rickie, River, Zoe, Lily, Xander, Christian, Tristan, Dakota and Connor; and his great grandchildren, Traven, Raylen, Alayna, Tytan, Bella, Arya, Emma and Lilah. He is also survived by in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
