It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Akins (Buffalo, Missouri), born in Nehawka, Nebraska, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matison and Fannie Mae Akins (Ballard); his daughters-in-law, Kathy (Robert) and Racheal (Jeff); his grandchildren, Stormie Kirksey and Stephen Toth; and his great grandchildren, Emily Dickensen and Brykn Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Doris Christiansen; and his children, Robert, Elaine Toth (Frank), Chuck (Teri), Pat Glass (Henry) and Jeff (Crystal). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
