He was predeceased by: his brother David Lyda. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine; his sons, John M. Lyda and Joel Lyda of Roosevelt, Utah.; his stepchildren, Rodd Ziegler and Stephani; his stepgranddaughter Jeannette Collier; and his sister Joan Biggerstaff.
