Russell Daniel Carter Obituary

Russell Daniel Carter was born on August 12, 1981, to Carl Carter and Kathy Turnipseed where he grew up in Louisburg before making his home in Buffalo. He passed away in his home on October 30, 2025, at the age of 44.

Russell was saved and baptized in 2010 at First Baptist Church in Buffalo, MO.

He worked as a Geothermal Specialist at Knight Heating and Air Conditioning, where he worked for 12 years but a career, he pursued for more than 22 years. He was proud of that title, where his intelligence, dedication, and hard work shone through every project he touched. He was known for giving the best advice and for always finding a way to fix things—both mechanical and emotional.

Above all, Russell loved his children deeply. He was a proud father who found joy and purpose in being there for his family. His loved ones will always remember his kind heart, sharp mind, and the way he could make anyone feel understood.

Russell is survived by his wife, Sarah Carter of 12 years; his 6 children—Raegan Carter, Kaylin Carter, Hannah Phares, Elizabeth Phares, Colt Carter, Roman Carter; his mother Kathy Turnipseed and husband Lynn Turnipseed; his siblings Stacy and husband Colby Cox, Buster Carter and Kirby Carter and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his father, Carl Carter.

Russell will be missed beyond measure by his family and friends, who will forever carry his memory, his wisdom, and his love in their hearts.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Haupt officiating.
