He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Brandes, Sr. and Elizabeth "Betty" Gerhardt. He is survived by: his wife Jammey Bywater; his sons, Matthew Brandes (Stacy Marcum) of Lohman and Timothy Brandes (Debbie Spoonemore) of Bunceton; his grandchildren, Meghan, Kaitlyn, Deryn (Maddie), Hayden Brandes, Corielle Dilse (Zach) and Caitlyn LaRoe (Dallas); his great grandchildren, Ensley Brandes, Grayden, Dalton Dilse, Lucy and Lowen LaRoe; and his siblings, Betty Jean Brandes, Jerry Brandes (Kendra), Janey Humphrey (Richard) and Rusty Brandes (Susan).
The Morning Coffee Group met daily (even in the parking lot of McDonalds during Covid.) Although, his most memorable times were when he was able to spend that time having breakfast with his grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Bunceton School.
