Bryce Oates Obituary

We announce the death of Bryce Oates (Butler, Missouri), who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 49. Bryce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Patrick Lloyd Oates and Carrie Joyce Richmond. He is survived by: his parents, William Scott Oates and Janet Lynn Oates (Richmond) of Adrian, MO.; his sons, Henry and Wynne of Gig Harbor, WA; his brothers, Heath (Ashley) of Adrian and Eric (Rachel) of Adrian; his grandparents, Junior Richmond of Hulbert, OK and Mary Lee Oates; and his close friend Debbie Weingarten of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and so very many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (1301 Orange St, Butler, MO 64730). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
