He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellison and DeLois "Lois Ann" Ellison (Britt); his mother-in-law Doris Weeks; his brothers, Jim and Darell Ellison; and his grandson Anthony Mulvey.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ellison; his sister Ruth Ann Weatherston of Bucyrus, Missouri; his son Billy Ellison; his daughter-in-law Mariam Saleh of Cabool, Missouri; his daughters, Ashley Ellison of Girard and Angela Benjamin (Clint) of Fort Scott, Kansas; his grandchildren, Harley, John, Devin, Amelia, Hailey, Eithan and Alexis; and his great grandchildren, Nicolan and Angria. He is also survived by family members and dear friends.
