He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Luerssen; his parents, George Luerssen and Laura Luerssen; his parents-in-law, John and Marie Krohn; his children, David and Kathy; his brother Lawrence Luerssen (Rosemary); and his sister-in-law Mary Nash (Myrl).
He is survived by: his sister Carol Koch (Ed); his son Mike (Sandy); his daughter-in-law Cindy; and his grandchildren, Ryan (Vernieca), Josh (Katie), Jared (Maggie), Matt (Emily), Adam, David Jr., Jonathan (Brittany) and Jeremy Penzol. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
